it’s funny, popular fandom perception of balthazar says he’s just the guy for poly ships, but if we’re specifically talking romance and not just sexy fun & games i really don’t think so

balthazar always struck me as the kind of person to pour his whole heart not just into one relationship (which could involve multiple people), but into one person

i think cass, by contrast, even if it takes time, would find it much easier being intimately involved with multiple people at once
