can i just take a moment here to say how hard it is to appreciate any actual depth or meaning gabriel has as a character, and to place him into any good writing, bc the fandom has so thoroughly buried and run over them, to the point that even the show itself took that shit up?

and can i also say how tired i am of these two tropes in particular:

1. gabe being THE brother to cass, when he was nothing of the sort whatsoever in canon

2. gabe & balthazar inevitably being ~besties~ bc they’re ~so alike~ when all those jokes are based on a partial misconception of gabriel’s character
